Today we're reviewing Austin based sock subscription service, The Sock Club. If you're not familiar with The Sock Club, they are a men's only sock of the month club.
Sock Club: PackagingAs you can see The Sock Club's packaging is simple and cute. The package is made of cardboard and has black doodles all over it.
Sock Club: Back of packagingThe back of the package contains information about the socks and the company. To open the package there is a tear open tab to pull across.
Sock Club: packaging, note on white printer paper, and interior sock packagingInside the package there is a piece of white printer paper with a note, as well as a pair of socks neatly wrapped in butcher paper.
Sock Club: note on white printer paperThis month's note starts with a quote by Henry David Thoreau "I took a walk in the wood and came out taller than the trees." The note goes on to describe the inspiration behind the sock design as well as this month's sock's name: The Conifer. According to the note these socks should "inspire you to meet your challenges head on with the stoic calm of the woods."
Sock Club: sock interior packagingLast but not least the final element of surprise! Socks wrapped in butcher paper sealed with a red wax stamp.
Sock Club: socks coming out of interior packagingRather than ripping the wax seal open we prefer to shake the socks out from the bottom.
Sock Club: The Conifer SockThis month's Conifer socks a greenish teal color.
Sock Club: The Conifer Sock (front)Throughout the sock there is a natural pattern of leafs and shapes. The leaves go down in rows and are split in half by different colored thread, half olive green and half turquoise green. There are white line stitches and yellow hashtags in between each leaf.
Sock Club: The Conifer Sock (Back)Between each row of leafs are maroon colored hashtags.
Sock Club: The Conifer Sock (Toe Detail)The toe, heel, and top band are the same green/teal color as the rest of the sock. All in all this pair of socks is fairly sedate and a good choice for fall.
