Panda Pals: Activity Packet — Hooty the OwlWe unfolded the activity packet and found a large piece of paper which says "Owls" in bold at the top, and "Socktivity" below it. The activities on the page include learning about tools in nature, matching, searching for socks, drawing eyes on the picture of Hooty, and answering questions. On the back of the paper Hooty prompts you to draw a tool you find in your house. The next thing we opened was a two page story booklet called "Hooty Helps Out." The story gives background on the activities provided in the activity booklet. There is a pack of Sock Island Stickers to accompany the story.

Panda Pals: Packaging, Activity Packet, SocksPanda Pals does a great job of threading a story throughout their monthly subscriptions. They typically choose a character and a featured activity to use in both their stories and their socks. This month it looks like the character is Hooty the Owl and the theme is tools.

Panda Pals: Tool SocksThe second pair of socks we pulled out of our kid's sock of the month club subscription are a pair of bright blue socks with white accents. The design of the socks is tools, with gray wrenches, and black screwdrivers scattered about.

Panda Pals: Sock SnapsOne more extremely useful feature to note about Panda Pals kid's socks is that they have a snap on them. This is a very nifty idea, especially since parents are always complaining that they can't find the mate to their children's socks. So there you have it, a sock of the month club for kids that's more fun than most activities we're used to doing in our day to day lives.
